Horsham VW Meet 3rd December 2011
Wow, has it been a busy year. So busy I've not put any updates here for a while! So to bring things upto date. Decembers meet will be at The Hornbrook Inn as normal. After last years success we will be holding the best decorated in a Chrismas style vehicle again this year. Please come along and take part and vote for your favourites. There will be a prize for 1st place and runners up prizes too! Oh and just to answer a question I have been asked a few times after having to move venue last January. I am pleased to announce that the 1st meet Horsham VW Meet in 2012 will be on January the 7th and will be held at our usual venue, The Hornbrook Inn, from 3pm. One last thing....If you've not already heard about the VW Heritage Santa Cruise that takes place on December the 4th, please click on the link and consider taking part. It's for a very worthy cause and it's a great excuse for a cruise with mince pies and hot drinks at the destination! Andy
Horsham VW Meet 5th March 2011
Both Nick and myself will be absent from March's meet as we're both on a stag do. So Anne my wife, who some of you may have met at previous meets will be holding the fort so to speak. Anne will have a stash of the discount cards for Camping World. Anne will be easy to spot. She'll be the one with 4 children in tow! Oh......quick plug.....if you've got a wedding coming up you might want to ask Anne about 'Cushions and Veils'... If I get chance I'll try and make a flying visit on my way past. If I dont make it have a great afternoon and normal service will be resumed in April. Andy
Horsham VW Meet 1st January 2011
Being New Years Day, The Hornbrook Inn is closing straight after lunch so Nick has arranged for us to all meet up at The Shelley Arms, Broadbridge Heath instead. Even though it's my local, I plan to bring the bus......As long as it's back on the road....As I write this I'm still waiting for an oversized set of valve guides to be made by a local engineering firm. We thought we'd give you all a second chance at the best Christmas Decorated Vehicle competition. So get your tinsel and baubles out folks as theirs a prize for the winner! VWAGEN Update
Mike has been in touch from VWAGEN and has kindly given us a feature. So I sent Steve, the designer, some words and pictures for him to do his magic with. So what's a feature I hear you cry? It's half a page of words and pictures promoting our little meet! And looks a little like this How cool is that! Nick and myself have seen the proof and it looks great! Remember, remember the 6th of November…..It’s the next date for the Horsham VW Meet! With it being the day after Guy Fawkes Night we thought it might be fun to meet up at the Hornbrook Inn as normal, but instead of us all going our separate ways, why not go for a cruise to a firework display? So that's what we're doing. We'll be leaving The Hornbrook Inn at around 5-5.30pm and going on a cruise to Broadbridge Heath Village Centre. Which is where the display by Aurora Fireworks is. As we'll be early to get parking we'll have a little walk to The Shelley Arms to kill a bit of time and keep warm. The huge Bonfire is lit at about 7pm and the display will start when the bonfire dies down to a safe level. Entry to the display is £3 per adult and £2 per child. There's a hot food and drink tent at the display.

Saturday Swap Shop
At July's meet a suggestion was made to have a parts section on the site. So after much deliberation 'Saturday Swap Shop' was born. The idea being that if you have some spare parts that you want to sell or you're looking for something, then send us an email to swapshop@horshamvwmeet.co.uk. Please put 'Sale' or 'Wanted' in the subject line. For now we'll list it manually, we're working on an automated system at the moment. For more details take a look at the Saturday Swap Shop page.
